2026-2027 EXECUTIVE BOARD
|
(President) |
Hi Parents! I’m originally from Iran and have lived in Houston most of my life. This is my fifth year at Carnegie — I had a son graduate last year and now have a daughter who’s a rising Junior. I previously served as VP of Fundraising and am honored to step into the role of President this year.
Outside of PTO life, I love doing yoga, watching my favorite shows, or hanging out with friends — say hi if you see me around! As President, what I hope to bring most is warmth and community connection — a PTO that feels welcoming and close-knit for every family at Carnegie. |

Anoushka Tandon (VP- Fundraising) |
I'm from Poland originally and have lived in Houston for over 20 years. I have a daughter who will be a senior at CVHS, and it has been such a great experience being a part of the wonderful Carnegie community over the past 3 years.
I previously served on the PTO fundraising committee and was auction chair for Crash Bash last spring. I am honored to be your Vice President of Fundraising and Development for the 2026-27 school year, and I'm looking forward to working hard at helping our students, teachers, and staff.
During these times of budget cuts and continuing changes in the district, I'm hoping to raise more funds for Carnegie with support from parents, local businesses, and corporate sponsors. I know that together we can make this a fantastic year for our school community!

(VP - IT and Communications)
|
Hello CVHS community, and I’m honored to serve as the Vice President of IT & Communication for the CVHS PTO this year. I began my professional journey as a Professor of Mathematics at LSC–CyFair, where I spent many years teaching, mentoring, and building STEM‑focused learning experiences. Along the way, I also enjoyed organizing STEM outreach and Punjabi/Sikh cultural programs that helped make learning lively, inclusive, and connected. I’m originally from India, and Houston has been my home for more than 25 years. This city shaped my career and my community, and it continues to inspire the way I approach communication and education—with clarity, warmth, and a deep respect for diverse voices. Stepping into the VP of IT & Communication role in 2026 has allowed me to bring together my love for technology, organization, and community engagement. I focus on strengthening our digital tools, improving communication flow, and making sure families, students, and staff stay informed and connected. My goal is to make technology feel simple, supportive, and accessible for everyone at CVHS. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: education should empower, include, and illuminate. I want every family to feel welcomed, every student to feel supported, and every message to feel clear. I’m excited to continue building strong communication pathways that help our PTO thrive and help our CVHS community feel even more connected. |
